Namma Veettu Kalyaanam is a Tamil cinema film released in 2002.In his earlier films, he used to select an issue related to the middle class, thrash it out, depicting the pros and cons. Medium budgetted, sans subtlety and style, the films however were successful at the box office. For the dialogues, though loud, drove home the point, and the situations he depicted gave an insight into the psyche of the middle class. Here it is about two wealthy sisters Meena and Sitha, who fall in love with two guys who apparently are college professors. The girls' brother Krishnamurthy, an MLA, abandons the plan to get them married to a minister's sons, and reluctantly accedes to their wish. The girls are married off to their respective lovers, only to learn that the duo are not college professors, but two unemployed youth in search of jobs. Thrown out of the house by the furious family, the men open a fast-food eatery (what else?) to prove a point to their unforgiving wives. How the matter is resolved forms the rest of the story. For some strange reason, though it was the girls who were taken for a ride, it is the men who act the injured party, throughout the film, the girls being on the

Who in the midst of indulging in arson, murder, and poisoning an entire ashram of orphans, also gets to do the song and dance routine. In a very oxymoronic way, the name of the protagonist as well as the antagonist is Daya - Prakash Raj. He has performed his role as meticulously as possible (with his usual gibes). Anybody showing mercy to this character regrets in the film - like Thulasi(Meena)who is a science teacher wanting to transform this brute into a human being-but she is deceived when she almost believes that he has transformed. Andha Naal

Andha Naal (English: That Day!) is a 1954 Indian crime mystery film in Tamil directed by Veenai S. Balachander. It is arguably the first film-noir in Tamil cinema and is the first Tamil film to be made without songs. The film was inspired by the 1950 Akira Kurosawa film Rashômon. However, in contrast to Rashômon, the film's climax provides a solution to the murder using an Indian proverb as a vital clue. The film revolves around a murder of Radio Engineer Rajan (Sivaji Ganesan), with suspects being five characters: Rajan's wife Usha (Pandari Bai), Chinnaiah Pillai, Rajan's brother Pattabi, Rajan's sister-in-law Hema, and dancer Ambujam (also Rajan's Mistress). Each one recounts an incident which points to a new suspect. Sivanandam then uses clues in the victim's room, serendipitous leads, and understands the characters' persona, and uses the knowledge to identify the culprit. On the night of 11 October 1943, the Japanese bombed the Indian city of Madras (now known as Chennai), causing commotion all over the city. In Triplicane the next morning, Rajan (Sivaji Ganesan), a radio engineer and communications researcher, is found murdered with his own hand gun. His neighbour Chinnaiah

He plays Siva with ease. And as always he is more at home in action" and that "Sneha makes proper use of the couple of scenes that offer her a little scope to perform." The film performed poorly at the box office and triggered off a string on unsuccessful films for the actor. The film's release was hampered by the Boxing Day Tsunami which also hit Chennai.
